Brexit and Scotland’s handling of COVID made me switch to Yes

I feel really strongly about the European Union, and I was absolutely devastated when the rest of the UK voted Leave.

I couldn’t believe it, because I didn’t know a single person that wanted to leave the EU – but we were being pulled out anyway.

That was the lightbulb moment when I realised Scotland’s voice means nothing at Westminster.

But it was Nicola Sturgeon’s leadership during the pandemic that has given me a glimpse into what an independent Scotland would look like.

Even without full economic control, the SNP Scottish Government has done a good job.

And it is so clear that Nicola Sturgeon genuinely cares about people in this country.

The same cannot be said about Boris Johnson – he is as bad as Donald Trump.
